I'd say a good 20-30 years of being raped by every single inmate in their cell block is pretty good punishment.

EDIOT (To Miss Momma): Shouldn't the law be decided by those it affects? Way to put all the work off onto the next guy.

In Islam, a murderer may be pardoned by legal heirs (blood relatives) of the deceased. But none can pardon a rapist, neither the victim nor the Court/Government. Islamic jurisprudence prescribed such married person a sentence of death by publicly pelting stones. No discretion of mercy or lesser punishment by court/Govt. Islamic law is based upon teachings and commands of the holy book Quran and the last Prophet. It is unchangeable and could not be altered/modified despite best efforts of others. Muslims are bound by Islamic teachings in toto, or else they may be out of Islam to join any religion of their choice.

In other secular countries also the prescribed punishment was being increased from time to time during last few decades. Yet their President or Head of State has wide powers to modify the sentence or to pardon a rapist.

Being the subject of this, on the raped end of this subject, I say leave it to God. I believe there should be a jail sentence, that they need to be stopped before they hurt anyone else, but in some cases they are never caught by the athourities. I believe they are decieving themselves because there is punishment awaiting them... They are not free... My God will see to it that they will have to answer one day, be it in this lifetime or the hereafter. It was a long time ago that this happened to me. I have found forgiveness for them only through my faith. I don't hate them anymore, I feel sorry for them because they are not free, they will have to answer, if they haven't already. I am free. I can't say that it doesn't still hurt when I think about it, but God has helped me to get through. I can take that bad situation and use it for good, to help others that have been hurt by the same thing. I have many feelings on this subject. Having something like this happen to you can either break you or make you stronger. For a long time, before I was a true believer, a follower of Jesus Christ, it had me totaly broken. Now, it makes me stronger, I am a survivor. Greater is he who is in me,( The Lord Jesus Christ) than he who is in the world!( The enemy)

Deuteronomy 22:28,29 isn't a communicate of forcible rape. that is already suggested in the previous verses (25-27) and the penalty become lack of existence to the rapist. it truly is a communicate of mutual kin, of a unmarried lady being seduced, that is why verse 29 says "they" were realized. And the marriage had to be with the daddy's permission. the actual undeniable reality that a guy ought to not in any respect divorce a woman, for any reason, that he had humiliated ( even in relation to rape) would make him imagine two times about using a woman for selfish applications as is so general in in the present day's society, and would have helped maintained a intense moral known in historic Israel. So compared to in the present day's international the position using and dumpning women seems to don't have any consequences by any skill, no longer even 50 shekels.

When one is found guilty of rape in a court of law, the Judge then issues the sentence.

We are in an age of mercy right now. The death sentence should only be for those convicted of murder. And a murderer is on the road to hell already. So if the murderer dies & doesn't turn to Christ, (confessing Jesus Christ ones Lord & heart faith in all He Is), murderer will go to hell.

A rapist is also on the road to hell, but didn't kill anyone. So, person also needs to turn to Christ... There should be a sentence given according to the crimes nature.

A rapist is insane, they are unable to handle their sexual desires, and wish to inflict harm upon another person.

Such a person needs to be separated from society so they will do no more harm to it, they also need to be reformed. They should be required to pay retribution to the victim for the rest of their lives.

I feel they need to come up with a better way for people to defend it in court. My mom did not want me to have to go to court and retell the story and that is the only way they would prosecute him. All that happened was he lost his teaching license. I am still not over it and it has been years. To me any punishment is better than none.
