The human experience involves all these things:

* betrayal of trust
* not being loved by someone who you yearn to have love you
* disppointment, failed expectations, etc.

Since this is common to all humans, the only important question is;

What are you going to do, in your life?

There are people who choose to become whiny, complaining lumps of self-pity...and there are people who choose a different path.

What are you up for, not to avoid the human experience, but with all it's disappointments AND joys?

It's up to you.

Really.

Pain is part of life. That's just the way it is. That does not mean you can't be a spiritual or happier person. Buddha, for instance, built his spirituality on that one truth: life hurts (my translation). His solution: realize that only you can change your life - internally. It's your expectations that are at the root of your disappointments. Expect less, enjoy what you have more - and life will hurt you less.

...One cold, hard fact is that people will fail you and die, and circumstances will change - and you can't do much about any of this. This got me to looking around, trying to make sense out of life, searching for purpose, and how to know what is right and what is wrong.
...I found out that I was looking for peace and happiness in the wrong place - lasting happiness is not in good fortune, wealth, riches, or another human being. These are all temporal and are shaky at best - they can't be with you forever.
...Jesus said this in Matthew 11:28-30:
...28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will [a]ease and relieve and [b]refresh [c]your souls.]
...29 Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.
...30 For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good--not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.
...I trusted in Jesus Christ as my Savior. He promises to never leave you nor forsake you. He will save you from sin, He is totally trustworthy, and He will save you forever if you believe on (trust in) Him. He knows the hurts that we feel, and He also is the only one who can meet our deepest needs: salvation, and a personal relationship with God.
...He gives the believer the Holy Spirit to comfort and guide us, His word as the guidebook for our lives, and we go to be with Him at death - the best deal on earth.
...I urge to "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and be saved." (Acts 16:31)
...Whosoever will, may come.
