No..

Don't starve yourself it's unhealthy, just eat healthy and excercise.

All you have to do is burn more calories than you take in. Get together with some friends and walk! or something. Go buy a nintendo Wii and play video games all day! :) seriously it's a work out.

You want to be skinny for a reason right? Use that reason as your motivation.

Whenever you reach your goal weight you will look 10 times better if you did it by excercising and eating healthy rather than just starving yourself.

I for one think really skinny girls are disgusting and 99 times out of a 100 these girls are skinny for a reason. They obsess over celebrities and our societies vain view of what beauty is. These girls are always materialistic, shallow, and high maintenance. Not what quality guys are looking for.

Good luck.

First, there isn't really a way to just have a height and weight and be able to say if you're "fat" or not (unless it's obvious, like if you were 5'3" and weight 280 lbs, but you're within the range of "normal"). Body type, bone structure, muscle mass, body fat index, all of those are factors in telling if you're "fat".

No, you probably aren't as disgustingly fat as you're imagining, and you should really consider getting some counseling to help you develop a healthy self-image.

If anyone gives you instructions on "fasting" to lose weight, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Work with your doctor, eat a healthy, balanced diet of fresh (not canned) fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and lean meat, cut out red meat, processed foods, fats (particularly trans and saturated fats) and sugars as much as possible. Have a healthy exercise routine consisting of both aerobic exercise for weight loss and heart health, and toning/weight lifting exercise. Drink LOTS of water.

You really should try to work on developing a healthy self-image. At 5'3" and 140, you are not morbidly obese. If you truly feel you are, you are seeing yourself in a way that isn't the truth.

fasting isn't a good idea coz you'll get hungry sooner or later and put it back anyway. A no-carb diet won't work unless you're prepared to not eat carbo for life. Coz once your body is used to working without carbo, in the future, just a little bit of carbo will make u gain weight.

For the short term, eat healthy and in moderation, go to the gym for 20minutes a day, a cardio workout for 30mins a day. I won't promise that you'll lose weight in a week, but you'll sure as hell feel great! And hey, if you keep it up, you'll start losing those pounds. Remember, eating healthy doesn't mean you have to eat stuff that you don't like. You can still eat your favourite foods, but substitute cooking oil with olive oil, butter with low-salt margarine. If you have to eat out, and have no control on how your food is cooked, just share your meal with another dieting/greedy friend. You'll be surprised how little it'll take to make you feel full. Just eat slower. The conscious effort alone will make u feel good

Drink lots of water. Exercise. Leave the junk foods alone. A healthy weight lose plan is 1/2 to 2 pounds a week.

1st of all how old are you? This makes a big difference...especially if you are just going through puberty.

Also, your BMI is 24.8 which is on the high end of a normal weight...so you are not fat by definition. I would do some strength training to tighten up the areas you want to because your weight is fine. Muscle also burns more calories so you may end up losing some weight too.

Please don't try any fad diets. Lose the weight in a healthy way. Just find out what foods make you to tend to gain, and cut them out of your diet. Think more veggies, less red meat and snacks that have empty calories. Drink lots of water, and exercise to start. You are not gross, don't feel that way about yourself, just make a plan to lose some of the weight. 120 pounds is a good size, so don't go overboard. Good Luck.

Height: 5 feet, 3 inches
Weight: 140 pounds

Your BMI is 24.8, indicating your weight is within the normal range for adults of your height. Maintaining a healthy weight may reduce the risk of chronic diseases associated with overweight and obesity.

However, if you are not 19 years old you need to enter more information here to determine your Body Mass Index:

First of all don't fast. Fasting tells your body that you're starvin g and it reserves fat and uses muscle to feed itself. You may lose weight quickly but it will come back two-fold once you eat again. You're better off exercising and eating right. that's the only weight loss advice anyone needs. Move more, eat less. And don't skip breakfast.

Your Healthy Weight Range for 5'3 (and assuming you are 25 and under) is 113 to 130 pounds. So while you are overweight, you are NOT disgusting.

The key to weight loss and ultimately weight maintenance is portion control and exercise.

Eat at least 1,200 calories per day. Eat lean protein, whole grains, fruits and vegetables. Drink plenty of water.

Exercise at least 60 minutes per day, every day. Combine aerobics and strength training for the best results.
