What's the scoop? Why does Comcast cost twice as much? Is there a difference that I'm missing?

They use it to make up for their losses making their TV package $33. You should just tell Comcast they can keep their digital phone because you're going with Sunrocket for 1/3 the price and plus Dish or DirecTV will give you the same (if not more) channels for the same price on your TV, and AT&T DSL will give you high speed for 1/2 of what they're charging. See what kind of discount Comcast retentions will offer you then! Otherwise this $33 $33 $33 thing is a rip off.

I even have been a shopper of Vonage for a protracted time and in no way had any issues, yet I additionally heard different solid issues approximately comcast telephone provider, so I mean in case you pick to you may get it, yet you will possibly loose different effective factors including calls to Europe.

no just like time warner cable, comcast charges double than vonage. Not sure why you dont get any better service or anything. I have vonage and i love it.

comcast just don't want you to have vonage, they even close there ports, and tell you to have their broadband...comcast is known for that....vonage is cheaper and have many more features....and for free, while comcast you have to pay for a lot more....

I have Time-Warner in my area, but I didn't take their phone service, their features suck, and it cost too much...I got Packet8 instead, and have been very happy.....

lingo.
or bbtelsys

These two are alternate providers that charge less than vonage and give you great service.

i got 2 years of servbice for bbtelsys for $199 (or two lines for $299) unlimited us calling.
Lingo is about $23 per months unlimited US, canada and western europe.

Voice quality is great, all the services that AT&T asks you extra money for are included like caller id, call waiting, 3way call, call forward to your cell when busy etc etc.
