Just because Jr admits he is wrong or that it was his fault why does everyone always say "at least he was man enough to say he screwed up" and somehow absolve him of his actions? At some point you need to learn from your mistakes and quit making them. Bump drafting coming out of the final corner at Daytona in a non points race, with no chance of winning, is inexcusable. Your thoughts and I do encourage Jr fans to respond.

It's not okay that he does that. I lost respect for three seasons ago when he attempted to spin out a "lesser driver" so that caution flag would come out. There are no "lesser drivers", just those that think they are better than others because of their heritage. Screw heritage and race your race car. As it turned out he spun himself out intentionally and NASCAR let him get away with it. Tough to compete in a sport that has more that one set of rules. That's what sponsors do for you.

Look, Jr admitted that he got over anxious when he tried to bump draft Carl to help them both through traffic. They had not fully exited the corner when he attempted this, causing the wreck. Fact is, unlike many other drivers, Jr took full responsibility for his actions and did not blame his car's handling, poor spotting, or any other factor that could have possibly contributed. Rubbin' is Racin'...always has been and hopefully always will be. I do still miss the good old days when drivers who felt they had been hit intentionally settled it as soon as they got out of their car, whether verbally or physically. Personally, I think that there would be fewer intentional wrecks if the drivers were still allowed to 'duke it out' at the track, but now Nascar has imposed so many 'PR' rules that it forces the drivers to just smile and move on...and that just sucks!

Its ok when Jr does just because he admits to it. Gordon doesn't and never will admit to doing it. Do you actually understand drafting at all? If you don't then here is a quick explanation to it. When your riding behind someone, the airflow from the other guy is going over you car. In turn you are being pulled along behind the other guy. When the other guy lets off the gas, you pretty much have a split second to react. Most guys wont be able to do it in the split second without having brakes lights to warn you of the let off. Basically Jr couldn't back off fast enough to avoid hitting Sadler. Sadler's airflow pulled him in and thus the accident happened. Some guys don't mean to do it, some guys do. In that case Jr didn't mean to hit him. This coming from a Jr fan that is not defending him. I am just simply stating that didn't do it on purpose.

because he JR is the simple answer. most guys though never say it is their fault, it was because of this or the spotter didn't tell me etc. seems that most of the ones who do own up to it are forgiven the same as JR.

the replays never really had a shot where it showed contact from the budshoot out, at least none of the ones i saw. showed where he was close but never showed the contact. he said he hit him, so have to go with that.

He is the fan favorite of course.
But also, he admitted that he messed up that time. I don't know about before then, but it was just a simple mistake, drivers don't want to lift when theyre racing at Daytona, they want to keep mashing the gas pedal all the way around.
And the fact that it was non points made the crash unimportant, if it was a points race, we would have a lot more furious fans right now.
And finally, people love to see wrecks! Sure they get mad at those who start it, but only if their favorite driver gets knocked out, or if they just hate that guy.

Jr. was man enough to admit what he did wrong. Even if it wasn't for points there is still money and stake and its a competitive sport and he was giving it is all like he always does. And the fact that it wasn't a points race is why no one was that pissed off about being wrecked.

He was being honest and just admitting that he made a mistake. If he hit him at all, he was man enough to admit it. On th replay it looked Sadler got aero loose and lost it but Jr. still said he was sorry if he caused it. He at least admits his mistakes unlike other drivers that deny they did anything wrong . He idolizes Mark Martin and has tried hard to race like he does. You should respect Jr. that he had the guts to admit a mistake.

Are you man enough to admit you screwed up in front of millions of people? He is a good driver and is excellent at bump drafting. He admitted he was at fault, what more do you want from him? Do you want him to act like Jeff Gordon or Brian Vickers and blame someone else?

it is a non points race so what is the big deal anyway, not like they were going to win the championship that day, and yes it takes a real man to admit that it was his fault, and it is daytona and there is going to be bump drafting, he just go there a little sooner then he wanted to

Ok-Some of you amaze me! Junior is a great driver and it is not very often that he wrecks someone especially at Daytona and Talladega-if he did he would not have won so many races there. I am sorry that so many of you can't stand him, I personally can't stand several drivers out there but I am not gonna take them through the ringers for making a mistake. I am sure it is not easy driving out there. As I recall, Jr was wrecked by Brian Vickers last year (while in the Chase I might add!) And guess what! He took it like a man! No Crying or Whining! He cannot help how the media portrays things. It is just racing! If you don't like him just go on and cheer for your driver instead of complaining about the ones you hate.
