( The "hidden" factor is what makes it so evil and difficult to confront)

Religious & philosophical intolerance -> which leads to hatred -> which leads to violence.
The world's largest religions have more in common than that which separates them, but people apparently cannot be content to just enjoy life within their belief system; they have to challenge and abuse others...
