In the Maritime Provinces. We are the friendliest bunch you ever met. We are sort of laid back, and have a less hectic life style.

Nova Scotia - Atlantic Canada. Halifax is the center of NS.

Surrounded by the Gulf of St. Lawrence to the north, the Bay of Fundy to the west, and the Atlantic Ocean to the south and east, the province experiences a true marine climate.

Located almost exactly half-way between the Equator and the North Pole (44º 39' N Longitude) Halifax is below the 49th parallel and at almost the same parallel as Portland, Maine. Halifax experiences some of the same climactic conditions as found in many European cities including London and Brussels.

Halifax offers the atmosphere of small coastal villages, country charm, and wilderness for which Nova Scotia is known.

Life revolves around the sea.

A very safe environment for living and raising children.

Whatever your budget, there is an investment here for you. Whether it’s just a small building plot or a hundred acres, a cabin or a mansion, you will find it here.

Visitors will find lush vegetation and few, but absolutely delightful, people.

You would be hard pushed to find more courteous, laid-back and helpful English speaking folk, only to pleased to welcome you to their Paradise.

The air is crisp, clean and bracing.
If you love the outdoors, you couldn't come to a more beautiful spot.

A Yukon Prospectors finding gold in Rabbit Creek a century ago must have experienced the same excitement as modern day property seekers first landing in Nova Scotia. To say this small Province of Canada is the new Klondike is an understatement, for here you will find nuggets of opportunities just waiting to be picked up and exploited. Not just in real estate but also land and potential business ventures.

It's so beautiful you won't want to leave.
Beautiful One Day... Perfect The Next.

Rated the best city to live in during the year of 2006 was Vancouver. The problem is that its very expensive to live their. My next suggestion would be Winnipeg, where the people are friendly, jobs are healthy and the area is very enviro safe. Not to mention they are located in the smack middle of the country. My third guess Toronto but its very dirty there. Quebec city and Montreal are very cultural.

I am presently living in Winnipeg, but I've lived in Toronto and Ottawa at one point. This is the best so far!

Do you like big city life? If so, your best bets are Vancouver or Toronto (they're both great but personally I prefer Toronto). If you'd like something a little more off the beaten track, I'd advise you to check out Nova Scotia or the areas in Ontario around the Great Lakes.

Any Canadian is bound to say the part of the country in which they reside. So of course I would say the Maritimes.

However there are countless places that would be great to live in. My advice is to research areas that interest you. Most important you have to live in a place where you can find employment.
Best of luck

Alberta is the place to be! Edmonton is cheaper than Calgary to live in, both are around 1 million population. We have all kinds of things to do from Skiing to ice climbing in winter to camping and golfing in the summer. We do have WINTER here so be prepared for some snow and cold.

The cities with the largest numbers of Portuguese speaking immigrants are Toronto and Montreal. Of the two Montreal is by far more of an exciting city but it would be harder to immigrate to because you would have to be approved by the Quebec as well as the Canadian Federal immigration departments and Quebec obviously favours those who know French.
