I need to to suit up complete with an air-pack in less than a minute. Does anyone have any suggestions or "tricks"?

Good luck with that one. Most of the times I can get just my gear on in 1 minute, but the airpack usually takes about a 1 minute just to check off, i.e. turn on the bottle and checking everything. If this is for testing purposes then just do it as such. In the world trying to do this process this fast can cause many failures. If this under a minute is because out of chute times going to a call, remember that you can get dressed on the apparatus enroute.

I am a Secretary at a career dept. and I have asked the boys and that's pretty tough... under a minute. The only suggestion that I can make is to take your pants off inside the boots so that you knock out two birds with one stone. You probably already knew that but other than having everything together that's the only thing I can suggest. Good Luck though!

I removed the neck strap on the SCBA mask and changed out the straps on the the SCBA mask to one with 2 straps instead of 5. Also, If a PASS device also is used and it's not automatically turned on when you turn your bottle on, get one that you just rip the tag off and it activates. Just practice and practice. I was worried about that part of the test too, but got er done in 45 seconds! Good luck!
