valentine is long ago the muslim empire was defeated in spain and the romans took over spain on that day the empire declared today is day of love as islamists were defeated on feb 14 that way valentine came into existance

valentine was a protector of couples who were in love but for some reason they couldn't get married.he used to perform secret marriages.valentine's day is a holiday of lovers in which u do smth nice or get a present for the person u love or care about.i think it's nice, even though it was nothin to bring to the world.they just spend more money, that money is reinvested into some other products, the manufacturers gain profit..ppl leave better, some..we give to get that's for sure.

It is stupid and meaningless gibberish coined to promote the sale of greeting cards, flowers, gifts and other useless stuff, and empty the pockets of the poor and guillible people all over the world. It is a well planned annual racket organised and run by crooks and scoundrels who use the media to brain wash the young generation into wasting money on things they would otherwise never even think of buying.

Humanity can gain the lesson that expressing love, caring and romance is good and should be continued through the year. We tend to get bogged down in the day to day affairs and forget this.

Even though it is believed to be a holiday created by the card and candy industry, people can make as much or as little of it as they want. I choose to get a special treat for my husband, children, mother to make it a little special...and I usually cook a dinner that is a little special, just to make it a pleasant day. Nothing wrong with that.
