i want to be reacquainted with my faith and don't really have a church to go to anymore. I was wondering if someone can reccomend one to me? I feel like I need some hand holding..what i mean is that my parents did get much of a catholic education so I couldn't learn from them.

I did my first communion but I was taught by volunteers "not real nuns." ANd I never got to really know like our priest. I would love to learn about Catholicism with the help of a church...where there is a priest that I can confess to. Maybe nuns or knowledgeable people that educate the young kids and prepare them for their first communion. I also still need to do my confirmation.

If you could list churches that you know really well I would appreciate it a great deal!

thanks.

There are four Catholic dioceses in Massachusetts with hundreds of parishes and a lot of priestess. All have young alter boys. Best to call a Kennedy or check in the yeller pages at a local gas station.

There must be thousands of Catholic Churches in Massachusetts. Go to your yellow pages and look some up. Otherwise, what are the odds of somebody seeing this question who is Catholic, AND from Massachusetts, AND has a church within reasonable driving distance from you?

seem for the web web site of the Diocese. they'd have hyperlinks to parishes there. notwithstanding, Catholic parishes must be neither liberal nor conservative, yet somewhat truthful to the Church, Pope and Magisterium.

I recommend www.masstimes.org. It gives you the address of the nearest churches, tells you what times they have Mass, and lists them in order of distance from your house.

There are four Catholic dioceses in Massachusetts with hundreds of parishes.

Archdiocese of Boston: http://www.rcab.org/Parish/HomePage.html

Diocese of Fall River: http://www.fallriverdiocese.org/parishes.asp?display=Locate

Diocese of Springfield: http://www.diospringfield.org/parishes/index.html

Diocese of Worcester: http://www.worcesterdiocese.org/parishes.html

Find your local parish, give them a call, tell them your situation, and they will help you on your journey.
