Lemurs aren't really monkeys, though the term monkey has come to be popularly used interchangeably with ape or primate.

If you want to get technical, I would say no, that isn't okay. You could probably safely say we came from a monkey-like or lemur-like creature, but to flat out call it a monkey would probably not be accurate.

You have the right to believe in whatever you want to believe, but that doesn't necessarily make it so.

The real question is, how does believing you came from a lemur effect your relationship with God?

If evolution requires belief then so does gravity... And the theory of evolution does not claim that we come from monkeys, so although it's okay that you believe that, you are mistaken. Monkeys and humans had the same genetic ancestor.

You obviously need no permission as you already believe that. Is it ok with you if I disagree and do not care if you want to think that way? Oh wait, looks like I can also believe what I want. I love freedom. God Bless America. It hasn't all been ruined yet.

Jim, why are some of your questions so freakin off the wall.

You can believe whatever you want to believe. Doesn't mean it's true, but you can still believe.
