you can use a variety of different creams to help with this, also if it occurs again, try using a bath/shower gel that contains moisturiser. Not all skin products contain moisturiser, it wont dry out the skin and should help with itchy skin.
Also try E45 or Sudocrem.
Ingrediants to look out dor in a good moisturiser:
Shea butter: Shea butter is used for its rich texture and strong hydrating properties. It is known as a particularly good moisturizer because it penetrates the skin quickly, leaving it feeling smooth and with no oily residue.
Glycerin: Glycerin is present in all natural and synthetically manufactured fats. It is used in moisturizers because it seems to attract and retain the right amount of water in order to maintain balance in the skin.
Silicone: Silicone is a slippery, water-binding agent used in some lotions and creams to offer long-lasting protection. But be careful with this one because creams that contain too much silicone can leave your face looking greasy.
Green tea: Green tea is an excellent source of antioxidants, and along with grape seed extracts, has become a very popular cosmetic ingredient.

I've tried E45 and found it didn't help with really irritated skin. Don't know if it's available in UK but in France I bought Kelual creme DS made by Ducray which clears up flaky and blotchy skin within a few days. They also make a lotion for itchy scalp and a shampoo. The condition is a type of dermatitis I think.

RE:
I have dry itchy skin on my face?
It has been like this for about 4 days, it can be blotchy as well, I am looking for a good cream/mosturiser so my skin will be soft again.

E45 or Aqueous Cream also English Weather Cream.
All can be purchased through a chemist avoid perfumed products.
What you need is non perfumed cream to sooth your skin at the moment, all the creams mentioned above are recommended.

I know this sounds harsh, but...try using rubbing alcohol to clean your face. Use cotton balls to apply the alcohol. You could have picked something up in the air which has attached itself to your face. Even if your face is chapped by the wind, use the alcohol. Unless allergic. This will clean your face of impurities. Then apply a good Vit E lotion. When applying lotion to eye area, under the eye, always rub OUT to IN, towards the nose. This motion helps to reduce eye baggage and reduce age lines and crowsfeet. Do this for about 7 days(clean with alcohol and then apply Vit E lotion) and you will see a difference. Vit. E helps to create new skin cells. The alcohol helps to remove bacteria, old skin cells, and other impurities. However, if you do this even one day and it becomes worse, DO NOT CONTINUE. This is a home remedey and i claim to not be a doctor. I claim no responsibility to any problems. This works very well with ache issues.

I have Eucerin for sensitive skin and it also has spf 30
You can get it at any walgreens or shoppers drug mart
it comes in a pump or a normal container with spin off top. I have the pump because then I don't waste so much.
It spreads well and isn't greasy.
It doesn't have the greatest smell but it works...
Hair conditioner also works well as a good skin moisturizer

you should go see a doctor. it probably is a side affect from the antibiotic. dermotoligists can help you with your face. they'll give creams to help it get rid of those red marks and itchy, dry skin. so stop using what you are now and just go to the drug store and buy a different thing. buy something from aveeno. aveeno works really good.

Check out it is not eczema-it could be. I get it and it is often induced by stress. Nizoral cream from the pharmacy is excellent.
