Well, after reading Matthew 6, it seems that Jesus wants us to keep our religion to ourselves.

NO it isn't. Everyone has the right to believe what they want, despite others telling them they will spend eternity in eternal damnnation. Whether you believe in such a place or not. You can believe what you want and not say a thing to anyone if you choose to. If you do choose to tell people what you believe, they should accept it and be done with it. However if you do tell people what you believe you should be prepared for questions and attempts at conversion. Despite your right to freedom of religion, there are some out there who believe that EVERYONE should believe in one religion and if they don't they'll go to hell or wherever.

I think in general, asking about another person's religion is okay. It can foster understanding. But on the other hand, it can also foster fighting and distrust. It's a very fine line. I don't boast about my religious background, but if someone asks me what my mala is, I'm going to give them an honest answer. What they do with the information is then their choice.

it can. The best way to deal with politics, sexual orientation, religion, etc, is to NOT let it out. It is confidential. I dislike GAY, I dislike Islam. IF I do not know the other person is of either persuasion, but he-she is great in what our business activities are, i am a "happy camper." The US IS AT WAR--against Al Queda and radical Muslims

Sure they do. It's called Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion. Don't you think it would be sorta anti-American to censor what people can and can't talk to each other about???

Yes, because we all have the right to speak freely. You can try to convert me, and I can trash all your arguments and utterly humiliate you because I'm so much smarter than you are.

No it's no one's business, and I certainly don't need to be "saved." We have the right to worship as we see fit, that is our moral, ethical and constitutional right.
