I really wish people would stop downing Bush for what he is trying to do. He's trying to get the job done now, so that our children aren't fighting this same battle. He did try to go after Bin Laden and he escaped into the mountains. I'd like to see the "whiners" and complainers try and do the job my husband and brother does. My husband has been over there and almost died. He doesn't want to see our children join the military and have to fight the fight he fought 10 years before. Let Bush do his job and quit acting like being the president is as easy as working at McDonald's. Bush has one of the hardest jobs in the world and in order to end this fight now, we have to send more over there to help in the place of those who have given their lives and who have been wounded. My husband would give his life to know that his effort wasn't in vain and that our children won't die due to a terrorist attack like 9/11. I'm ashamed of everyone who doesn't respect my husband for his and our sacrifices. Being in the military or married to it, is the hardest job cause I don't know if my husband will come home. I can't take him for granted. And for the record, I've met Bush and looked him in the eye and he is the most genuine man I've met. There was a sweetness in his face and he was very sincere. I supported him before and even more now after meeting him. This war has aged him a lot. I was very surprised. So don't sit back and think that he doesn't feel anything, cause it was literally written all over his face. He knows what he is doing and he does realize the sacrifices the military and their family makes.

I hear different figures. Bush said he wanted 25,000 or something for this "final push" and others in the Pentagon said around half that number would suffice. Either way, I don't see 25,000 troops being the difference between victory and failure. After decades of authoritarian, minority rule, there are a lot of scores to settle among the civilian population.

Bush needs to shove it up his ***, cause he is casuing everyone of the troops familiies to be scared crapless...they expect their son/daughter to come back safely, and well President Bush is not gonna give a damn if they die...He'll just say "I'm proud of my country, and I'm proud of our troops who have died to keep us safe" and blah blah blah....he's an ASSHOLE, and I'm sure as hell he would not let his two daughters join the Marines, the Army, Navy, or the AirForce...and you wanna know why? Cause he's scared to loose them. i'm telling you guy he is running this country to the ground, and he continues... He could have done something about the WTC attack. He had certian information about 9/11 and he didn't do ****! He didn't believe it, he couldn't have been a little safe and tell people to be ALERT that day...nope he just pretended like he didn't know what the **** had happend.... and hell he didn't even go after BinLaden, he went after Sadam...who now rots in hell for all the awful crap he's done...he's fighting for oil and i think he doesn't give a **** about terrorism. Screw the oil and worry about our safty dumb *** not about your profit and how much meny your *** will get if the prices double up or w.e...we got enough oil here in America...why the hell do we want oil from Iraq? And for those who are in the Armed Forces, forgive me for being such a whiny bastard but damn come on now, you know that he should be protecting us, not making a damn money pile out of us! but he can lower the gas prices great...but other than that start caring for us the DIVERSE AMERICANS

Yeah it's one of those political gray areas.... if he meant 25,500 combat troops, then yes will probably be closer to 35,000 because those 25,500 troops have to have support personnel. This is political crap, not just Bush crap.

Will you people just stop with the whining? do you even know what will happen if we do not succeed in this effort? You obviously are looking at the small picture. If we were to leave now, the implications are much larger and there would be more deaths, not just in Iraq, but at home.

First, the Shi'ites and Sunni's would go at it in a big way. Iran and Syria would likely be drawn in. The ensuing war would be bigger than anything going on today. You think, who cares, but what happens when gasoline prices rise to double what they are today. Your salary will not rise to accomodate and neither will anyone elses. Prices of everything will rise but your salary wont. Poverty, homelessness, crime, murder, will all ensue and the number of deaths in Iraq will pale in comparison to what you will experience if we leave before completing the task.

Just let the people who have volunteered do the job and stop whining. If my mother were acting like cindy sheehan, I would be so ashamed. I have just finished a tour in Iraq and I know what is going on there, ,,,,, do you?

Deal with it! He is only do this, to get the troops home faster, geez. I'm glad he has integrity, sticks up for what he believes in, no matter how much idiots who are against him rant and ridicule him-you know why? He has balls! I'm support Bush; I support the mission; I support the troops.

YES, he is doing what needs to be done. Do you guys really think that President Bush wants to leave our troops there indefinitely? No he does not, he wants them home, he just knows that the job needs to be done this time - COMPLETED. Not to mention ever here there's strength in numbers?

he dosent care about our country and dosent see what he is doing,he dosent care or even concider what americans think about this war,all we hear is talk and no action, they have been talking about brining home our military since forever..it would be nice to see someone in congress step up and actaully do something about all this and not just give excuses and say what they think we want to hear....by sending more and more out there were losing family memebers and loved ones...i totally agree, the next president has a lot to clean up after bush
