Like, herbal supplements, melatonin, etc... I have insomnia that comes and goes and a really important internship.

My vote goes to Tylenol PM but they do have OTC meds that have the sleep ingredient to Tylenol PM but not the acetaminaphen.
Look at the drug store on the sleep-aid shelf.

Melatonin is a natural supplement. I recommend the "extra strength" 5mg ones. Be careful, though, only take them for a few nights and then stop taking them or else your body will produce less of its own melatonin because it thinks it has more, if that makes sense. Good luck!

Try Advil PM. It's not habit forming and available over the counter.
