i have been using differin lately and my skin totally peeled away and completely dried out. i have noticed small change over a 5 week period with differin but i have used proactiv in the past and it seemed to work, not completely, but it cleared up quite a bit. i have both differin and proactiv at home and now i don't know which one to use. i heard it is bad to mix two treatments. Got any advice???

Differin is better than Proactiv. It contains an antibiotic that helps clear break outs faster. As you have experienced it can dry out your skin. If you are using it everyday, switch to every other day for a while. Make sure you are using a good lotion to hydrate your skin also.

Tried Proactive and Acne Free (Acne Free is a brand you will find at walmart/walgreens). I've never had severe acne, just a little here and there, but Acne Free was just as good, less expensive (about $17?) and I didn't to sign up for a monthly membership or anything.

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://acnehomesolution.com/index.html that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

Differin is better and its perscribed by a dermatologist. Pro-active is sold in the mall and it is not perscribed by a dermatiologist because it doesn't work. All it does is clean your skin

clearpores is a better alternative to both of those treatments to prevent you skin from drying out and it works pretty good.
