I don't think the age part is too terribly important, I am almost 23 and my ex was 18. But as for the jail part, you have morals and there is nothing wrong with that. I think you would have to consider why he went to jail. Some people go to jail for respectable reasons believe it or not. Like the movie Con-Air, Nicholas Cage's character went to jail for protecting his wife. That may be far fetched, but you never know. The kid thing depends too, did he originally lie to you about it? If so, you can't be blamed at all.

No. I think you're instinctively looking out for #1. You should always come first, and I mean that in the sense of you gotta make yourself happy before you can make anyone else happy.

If you're not satisfied with this loser, there are definitely 1,000 other people in the world who will satisfy you. This guy sounds like a drama trainwreck...you dont need that anxiety dear.

It's not stupid. You did what you thought was best for yourself and your interests. Good looking out. You're still young and I'm assuming you're just finishing or fresh out of high school? You have your whole life ahead of yourself. There will be plenty of men that will head your way in the many years to come. Enjoy it.

you go to church.... in the bible, wasn't jesus arrested? and doesn't it say jesus made water into whine? i think its pretty stupid for you to brake up for those reasons. i think its rather shallow too, but maybe its better that you broke up because it seems obvious that with all this doubt it was inevitable anyway.

If he is hiding things from you he can not be trusted. No reason to be in a relationship that is not open and honest
