About a week in a half ago, my boyfriend told me that we would be going to the lake this coming Friday. He doesn't care for the lake, but he knows that I do like the water. On top of that, he wanted my physical work address, and said that I would find out why he wants it on that same Friday. So of course, I've been wracking my brains trying to figure out what's going on. Just yesterday, I talked to him and he was saying how tired he was. When I asked him why he was tired (other than work) he says that he was busy preparing for Friday! Being that he brought it up, I tried to get him to tell me what was going on. He say he couldn't, but he'd bring everything up one day (Thursday) to make it easier on me. All he said was that it was something special that would make me very happy...and that it's something I would want to know. He also said that it's not appropriate to tell over the phone, he'd have to tell me in person. I have an idea, but what do YOU think?? Thanks so much!

A bit of a vacation? A camping weekend?

It sounds like he's planning a surprise, and he's bursting to tell you, but enjoys the teasing of you guessing and begging as well. I'd be a bit concerned about the work address, in case he wants to do something that your workplace wouldn't approve of (singing telegram, delivery of balloons, whatever). Just remind him that you're at work, and not to get you into trouble there.

He said he'd tell you on Thursday. You could play his game by begging every day, or you could be all quiet and pretend not to care, see how that grabs him!

Depends on how long you two have been seeing each other. It could be a marriage proposal or just a romantic get away since he said that he would give you a hint on Thursday....time for packing? He should still give you something nice on Valentine's day. Don't forget to get him something too, but that is only if you know you are getting something.

Maybe he is going to ask you a very important question at the lake ans want it just perfect.

It sounds like something that is a surprise, obviously, but also something that will be good and worth waiting for. The suspense would drive me nuts too, but try to be patient.

Either he has something romantic planned for the two of you (maybe he will propose?!?)...or he is planning on taking you out by drowning you at the lake.

Just let it be a surprise! 90% of the fun of surprises is the anticipation beforehand. Your man's doing something awesome, using his creativity to make you happy. Awesome!

Just enjoy the ride, honey! I'd give anything if DH would still work that hard to be romantic. Enjoy it, and don't spoil the surprise!!!!!

Don't try to second guess what he's going to do, time it out and enjoy the surprise.
