Personally, I wouldn't advise it. Risk of complications, for example. And haven't you heard of all the people coming down with infections in hospitals? If you want to lose weight, live by this:

Here’s all you need to lose weight. First, you have to realize there is no quick, long lasting weight loss plan or pill that is going to do the trick. It’s purely mental. You have to learn to “Eat to live, don’t live to eat”. Sounds simple, doesn’t it? It is, if you understand that you are going to be reprogramming how you think about eating for the next few weeks. Old habits die hard, right? Not really. You get rid of bad habits by replacing them with good habits. If you learn to count your calories, keep calorie intake lower than output, exercise moderately, and eat only healthy food, you will lose weight. That’s a fact. All it takes is repetition. All success stories have this in common: The successful folks among us know how to be patient, persistent, and consistent. Set a goal and stick with it. The benefits of feeling good will outweigh any sense of sacrifice you might feel about having to push away that cake and ice cream. Yes, you can get all of those folds if you lose a very large amount of weight very quickly, whether it's naturally or through gastric bypass. A lot of it has to do with your age and skin type. If you're younger and have more elastic skin you might get by with less extra skin folds. I work with a girl who has recently lost 70 lbs very quickly, and she doesn't have any loose skin. She's only 23, though, and never had a baby. I have to tell you something about gastric bypass, though. Our hospital's ICU hasn't been getting very many patients lately, because we aren't doing a lot of cardiovascular surgeries anymore. The lack of ICU patients is causing a major problem with the hospital budget. They need a lot of extremely ill patients, and they need them fast. Guess how they've decided to remedy that problem?! They hired a guy who's going to start doing gastric bypass surgery. That's a surefire way to get a lot of critically ill patients very quickly. Even though he's a good surgeon and has above-average results, gastric bypass surgery is extraordinarily risky. All the ICU nurses and ER nurses have to go to seminars now, where they learn about all of the complications of the surgery and how to deal with them. Rather than having the gastric bypass surgery and risking your life, you could try just going on the gastric bypass diet. It would have all of the positive effects and none of the negative effects of the surgery.

I have seen many people have wonderful success with gastric bypass surgery. Only to later on regain a significant amount of the lost weight. Most people with obesity problems have issues and habits that they may not be able to understand or appreciate.
Gastric Bypass is bypassing a part of the digestive system-not just reducing the stomach size. Significant metabolic complications are possible or likely. Also, I have seen disastrous surgical complications.
Address the underlying social and psychological issues for long term success. Good luck.

Gastric bypass is a surgery where the stomach is reduced in size so less food can be digested at a time. There are a number of complications you should discuss with your doctor, and it is also a huge lifestyle change, as the stomach can stretch back to its normal size if you eat too much, negating any benefits of the surgery.

Weight loss surgery-like gastric bypass have become very common and very safe now. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges Obesity surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Fly2india4health Consultants. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients, as all surgery is not covered by insurance or by the stinking NHS.

They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor I personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of Healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

My cousin got her Obesity surgery done there and she is more than very happy with the results. She is all praise for Fly2india4health Consultants. She paid just 20% of the cost what she was quoted in USA and it was like a wonderful vacation for her. Hope this helps

My sister had it a few months ago she has aready lost 42 lbs. you just have to do what the doc tells you. you cant even tell if she had surgery. but there is one thing you have to watch your sugar intake you have to do all these things for the rest of your life i think it was pointless cause she cant eat all the things she would like too you are just better off doing a non sugar, carb diet but if that is to hard for you to do that i would go on with the surgery it really works great just do some reseach on it
