That sounds about right...it's why religions often try to hide scientific facts that disprove their beliefs.

I do not. I think it's important to keep both eyes open. What's more, I believe it's not only nontheists like myself who believe this. Most of the religious folk that I know value reason along with their faith.

Even Martin Luther agreed with this. He was constantly calling for the destruction of all things to do with reason. He believed, and stated, that reason was faith's greatest enemy.
