There are plenty of ways to make a indoor fort at home! You can use kitchen chairs and put light weight blankets on top. The square sofa cushions can be used as a tunnel entrance. If you happen to have bunkbeds you can tuck sheets around the bottom bunk and make a fort out of that. Use your imagination and the ideas can be endless!

Use four chairs, a sheet, a broom, and a lamp. Just put the chairs into a square and drape the sheet over the top. (You might want to put books on the sheet corners to hold it down.) Prop the middle of the sheet up with the broom. Plug in the lamp and put it under the sheet and you have an instant fort! Good luck!

Hello...you're snowed in...go outside! I loved making snow forts when I was a kid! Get a couple of shoeboxes, fillem' w/snow,pack it down, dump over and fill again...makes instant snow bricks. built and igloo or just a wall...the temp. inside an igloo rises some, so it won't be as cold inside it! Also, when it's done, line the floor w/ a tarp and old blankets and invite some of her friends in for an eskimo story from a library book!

You tell your daughter, we will use what we have and we will have a great time being creative together. Explain to her there is no need to "buy" things for a fort. Forts are made of items you find anywhere. Put your foot down and tell her whos boss.

contact an appliance store and ask for a used appliance box. My brother and I loved to hide in the refridgerator boxes. my parents owned an appliance/tv store. my 6 year old loves to use blankets and chairs. sofa cushions can work well too. maybe find a little nook or cranny in the home that she could make her own?

She can hang sheets from pieces of furniture. It's best to use a couch or an arm chair b/c you can secure the sheets by tucking them into the arm of the chair or couch. This may require that you rearrange a bit of furniture.

Well, you could always tell her that these items are available for your use (whatever you have that could work), and if you don't want to use them, then don't make a fort. Those are your choices.
