When you install Windows Vista by default, it will rename your old Windows XP folder (was C:\Windows, becomes C:\Windows.old), and does not allow you to boot up into Windows XP. How can I make this work like it would have worked with older versions of Windows?

The simplest solution is to buy a second hard drive & install Vista on that one.
Your BIOS will allow you to choose the drive you want to boot from.

This is what I chose to do.
It allows me to explore & enjoy Vista while keeping XP Media Center & all my old programs in tact.

To be honest ... I find myself using XP MCE more & more instead of Vista. Glad I did it this way.
