turbo tax question?

i am using turbotax right now and i am an independant contractor i do hair and work for myself, i just rent out the room i work in, am i classified as a business owner?

Yes you are. You report the money you made as a hair dresser, but you can also deduct the money you paid to rent the room you work in.

Yes. Rents, etc. are overhead. You are renting space so you are an independent contractor/business person.
