You can't which is why the doctrine of original sin is warped.

Simply put you cant.

If you realise you are a hopeless sinner it will reduce your self confidence to nothing when you realise that there is absolutely nothing you can do to help yourself.

But hope is available in Christ, you are and always will be a sinner but these sins can be forgiven, so no longer a hopeless sinner...

This confidence in self, desire for self rule, power for self, money for self, self, self, self has been the problem since the fall of man and the cause of every single crime, war, and mistreatment of man towards his fellow man.

In this world today there is enough food and money to go around but it is the self desire of people that prevents them giving to those who need it. Strangely enough I have seen (I worked in a charity) that it will be the people who do not have a lot who will give the most to other people. I am speaking generally here and cannot take away from those wealthy people who have given and do give generously.

As a Christian my confidence, my hope is in Almighty God, this is the key to happiness, peace and a great life and future. That hope and confidence can be yours too.

But are you a hopeless sinner? I doubt it very much - and if religion (I take it you are a Christian) makes you feel bad abuot yourself that should tell you something. All the guilt inducing stuff in religion is put there by men and it is about power and control etc. If you are the best person you can be (and its OK to make the odd mistake), always try and do your best by others, be the good samaritan when the opportunity arises then you have done your bit.

Actually, most people, deep down inside, believe that they are "hopeless" irregardless of whether they believe in sin or not, so the idea of being a "hopeless sinner" is not that radical or new of an idea to many converts; they already assumed that about themselves.

The radical idea is that God loves you anyway, even if no one else (including you) does.

God does not love you because you are important; you are important - no matter what you do - because God loves you. This does wonders for your self esteem if you are on the bottom of the ladder socially (maybe that's why blue collar workers are more likely to be religious that white collar ones).

If your are born a hopeless sinner, then that is how you are meant to be, so you can enjoy being a sinner, you can be a confident sinner with no guilt, it's all natural.

b/c you are not a hopeless sinner! When Jesus died we all received His grace, many people will try to make you feel guilty, all the while knowing God loves us all, knowing at times we will fall, but through His grace we are able to pick ourselves back up. Don't ever think you are hopeless b/c people tell you "we are all broken sinners" Jesus died for that very reason, so we can be fixed!

First of all you, or anyone else does not have to be a hopeless sinner- WHY? Because your hope can be in Christ- the One that gave His life so that you can have everlasting hope and life. You should not have confidence in life, but in the One who gave you life.

Im not a hopeless sinner. I am my own judge and juror and i decide what i do is right or wrong.
I do many things wrong, but it isn't a sin, its a way to evolve and learn from my mistakes. Surely if i think that every mistake i make is a sin then im not really going to llive to my full potential.

It is my acknowledgment and sheer joy in being a hopeless sinner that gives me self-confidence

Someone that has repented is not a hopeless sinner, & a sinner is not hopeless as long as there is breath in them.

If you know that you are a hopeless sinner, then you surely must accept that God sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for the remission of all of our sins. If you can accept this then please accept that Jesus will be with you in all you do. If you accept this then you can also accept that through being humble hearted we can ask for forgiveness and receive it. Jesus is our rightiousness so he will keep us fromfalling. Percivere and ask God for the strength not to sin. If you read James 1: 5.

For he that lacks wisdom, let him ask for it from God; and it will in no way be with-held from him It will be given 'Liberally'. So if we can be given wisdom in abundance, just think what else we can ask for.
God Bless You.
