my hairs just like yours, and the best way to get it curly depends on whether you wash your hair at night b4 you go 2 bed, or id you do it in the morning.

night b4: when your hairs a still a bit damp, but not soaking wet, put it in pig tails, and then twist each pig tail into a bun. put an elastic over each 1 to hold them in place. you'll look like pricess laya but who cares?! in the morning, take them out and sererate the two giant curls with your fingers. use volumising mousse to hold in the curls. put your head upside down and blow dry the rootsfor lift. put abit of hairsray in

morning. dry your roots upside down and use mousse/hairspray. use a big barrel curler.

the night one looks more complicated but it saves soooo much time in the morning, and once you get used to the buns, you can do them in seconds.

if u want to create curls beginning with wet or damp hair, have u tried curling mousse thats non-drying-alcohol free. also before hand, dont use conditioner that weighs hair down. try a lite one that gives lift and volume w/o being greasy. if none works then only condition the ends. but use a good hydrating/moisturizing shampoo first. Alternatives:try curling shampoos and conditioners

Try washing it at night and adding a little bit of mousse when it's still damp. It should hold curl a little bit better the next morning.

if your hair is layered you have a better chance of getting the curls to hold... but before you blow dry it put some volumizing mousse on the roots to help have body... as for keeping the curls... if your hair usually can't keep them then LOTS OF HAIRSPRAY is your best bet... good luck
