I met my boyfriend online, he lived on the west coast of Canada I lived in the middle. We were best friends and then it turned into more. Now we've been living together for 10 months and things are great.
I'm not sure how I kept his attention, but he fell pretty hard for me. as I did for him.
I use to tell him about my day and try not to complain about things that went wrong- no one likes a crybaby.
Talk about stuff you know and always ask about stuff he talks about- maybe you know about it, but let him explain it more- than when he's done talking you look smarter anyway since you have your own knowledge and his.
Maybe you could talk to him about going to college in the same town or something?

Chasity, Like all of the other answers I have read here, I hate to tell you but Long Distance relationships just do not work. A relationship grows from spending time together and getting to know each other well. You Both honestly do not know each other and through emails and phone calls a person can say or be anyone they feel you want them to be. Save yourself alot of heartache and get out and meet other people. Be Happy..

I would recommend telling him that he's the only one you want. And then show him you mean it, by keeping faithful, visiting when you can, and calling often. Sending letters (in the actual mail), cards, interesting news clippings or comics, etc., is a wonderful way to let him know you care and are thinking of him.

open up to him --- if he is interested he will be able to tell how you feel by the way you write --- and its difficult to let someone know how you feel using words yet not being specific --- there are so many other signals that people give --- their body language --- the tone of their voice
plus if they are like me --- i try not to be hopeful and read something into a conversation that is not there --- i would rather it be spoken then i know where i stand --- if a lady plays coy or hard to get i just think she is not interested and back off --- best wishes to you

One of you really needs to move. Sorry for seeming pessimistic but distance may make the heart grow fonder when you first get back together. Distance will do nothing from keeping you or him from finding someone else and justifying that by saying..."but she/he is so far away". Be realistic and save yourself the disappointment.

Go visit him at least once a month. Be careful tho...not to rain on your parade but I had one of those relationships and found out he had another girl on his side the whole time. Be careful and I hope it works out.
