I have a 7 year old male cat, wants to held alot and rubs his nose on my nose is this a kiss, or what does it mean any ideas out there.Thanks.

Cats have scent glands in their cheeks near their eyes, it sounds like he is trying to leave his scent on your face. This is just his way of saying that you are his. If he didn't like you he wouldn't do this so in his own little cat way it is an equivalent of a kiss.

If the cat rubs his nose on your nose that is a hug not a kiss when he licks you that is a kiss, and it is a sign of affection, in other words he likes you. He probably wants to be held a lot because he might want your comfort or maybe your body warmth. Sometimes a cat rubs his face on yours because he wants to play. I thinks it's a kiss. I have had cats my whole life, & I have found the male cats to be the most affectionate. Enjoy the lap sitting and the kisses.

male cats are much more affectionate then female cats...they will often rub noses with you and "bump heads" with you. He truly adores you...you must be doing something right!! Your cat would be lost without you

He is showing his affection and love towards you, if he lays on his back then that means he is comfortable with you and his environment also.... He is just happy to be close to you.
