What people seem to ignore about the production of ethanol is, that it takes MORE energy to PRODUCE it than the amount of energy you can save with it.
It's a non win program that can only benefit the big corporate farms... so in that way... it's like the way the big corporations are sticking it to the gullible American public about everything else.

It is a very good fuel and burns very clean but in the piston chamber we will produce Nitrogen oxide and possible more than gasoline.

You might be thinking of methanol from methane gas, which is what you smell around outhouses.
Ethanaol has smell, but not any worse than regular gasoline or regular diesel
