The polygamist referred to in this question has never claimed to be an adherent of Jehovah's Witnesses, and in fact has worked to appropriate the divine name for himself.

That would seem to be blasphemous and reprehensible.

(Exodus 34:14) Jehovah, whose name is Jealous, he is a jealous God

(Hebrews 10:31) It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of [the] living God

If he's lying to others about his ability to cure AIDS as a means of manipulating them then I hold him to be a destructive sham and would have him cease immediately. Of course, in the most remote possibility of actually being able to help AIDS sufferers then he earns my respect, even in spite of his blatently untrue claims of his own divinity and heritage, but skepticality is the stance to adopt on this.

The guy's a nut.

Here's what I wonder though:

If, by some wild chance, Jesus DID return.... Would we call him a lunatic too?

Are guys like this just ruining it? Have we seen so many whack-jobs like this running around claiming divinity, that we're now in the habit of assuming it's all lunacy by default now?

Aren't assumptions like that a kind of lunacy in their own right?

He seems somewhat off his rocker, However, the demand for money sounds a bit more like a conartist than a mental patient.

Dear Friend,

All of these things were laid out in the bible by Jesus:

Matthew 24:5For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,[a]' and will deceive many. 6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains.

God Bless

Sounds like he has quite a nice little business going there! Seems to me that there are television evangelists in the USA who are in the same sort of trade!

I think that it is sad that he is so weak to Satan's deceit. I also think that Christians should pray for him because he could reach out to so many others who are under the influence of Satan, once he is saved.
