I'm from Montreal, here we have what we call "steamies" (just a steamed hotdog, as opposed to grilled) and I like them "all-dressed" which has relish, mustard, onion and marinated cabbage.
They don't put ketchup on, you'd have to ask for that specifically in the good hotdog places.

I love ketchup, mustard, onions and relish. I don't care for cheese too much. But chili is ok. Hooter's actually has the best hotdog I have ever had.

Dunk hot dog in boiling water (1 minute), then "grill" in a touch of oil in non-stick pan, add some chopped onion, cook both together, keep moving it around, when nice and brown put hot dog on toasted bun, top with onions, add touch of ketchup, and enjoy.

Mustard, relish, and a little onion. Or chili, cheese, and Jalapeno. I'm trying to eat healthier these days though, so I haven't had one in quite a while.
But now I really want one. Thanks alot!!!
