What is the purpose of spinning, aerobics, step classes being done in the dark? The only light is on the instructor.

Some classes are done in the dark, but not all. Spinning is sometimes done in the dark, especially if it's a ride with computerized scenery-it makes it easier to see the screens. Sometimes they're done in the dark to make the participants feel more comfortable, also; it makes them feel like they're not being watched and judged by others. A lot of classes are done in regular light, though. For things like step, toning, etc., it's important to be able to see what the instructor is doing so that you can follow along with proper form.

So that u do not look around to find out what others are doing.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span.

Some believes this helps with focus. Instead of looking at how others are doing or comparing yourself to them, you can focus on the instructor and the task at hand. Train the mind and the body.

I like that because then if I make mistakes then no one knows except me. I have no rhythm so I look like a fool in a kick boxing class but no on knows except me.

People feel less conspicuous in the dark. They can work as they need without the feelign that people are staring at them.
