well, for a nice an easy touch i would use
wishing you a happy valentines day my dear friend
with this humble verse that i did send.

here's something honest, from a guy: we don't care about cards. cards are for women, mostly. don't put anything in the card, just a nice note and sign it. he's going to read it once, put it on a shelf, and never really think about it again. here's what he does (or should) care about: you. if he loves you he just wants to spend time with you. he doesn't need gifts. guys are simple. we don't need much in the way of stuff.

It really depends on your feelings for this person. You can say, "if I could I would give you the moon, because you mean the world to me". You could say something like, "you have touched my heart in so many ways, I can't express enough what you mean to me." Another verse, "your kisses are sweeter than honey and your heart is bigger than gold." An option, "when I see your face first thing in the morning, it's like sunshine that brightens up my whole day."

well...your other half would probably appreciate it most if you wrote a love poem yourself...it shows u care and tells them exactly how u feel...alternatively you could copy a verse from a love song u/they like. slightly different situation but i printed out the lyrics to the boyz II men song mama in a card for my mum on mothers day and she cried for ages! lol...just do it from the heart
