This is a UK number and I keep getting phone calls from them, basically they are trying to sell me things. I've told them several times that I'm not interested but they still keep ringing. Who are these morons and why don't they just p*ss off?

It's someone in Todmorden, West Yorkshire (I know because I live 4 miles from there and that's their area code).
But I don't know who it is, sorry.
Why not do a search on yell.com with that number and see if you can find the company?
Also sign up to the TPS (Telephone Preference Service) to stop cold calls. I did it online and it was effective within 28 days.

What country are you in?
I'm in the US and now that we have a national "do not call" list which means that marketers can be fined for calling you if you don't want to be called, I've noticed I'm getting calls from foreign countries - usually in the Carribean. I'm guessing this is to get around the "do not call" fines.
I don't know how they think they will sell things to people who are angry at them...

Thats really bizare about 3 months back i had them ringing me day in and out whilst i was at work-they are a call centre offering mobilecontracts on behalf of 3!! tell them to f off i did-calls have now stopped!!!

This is where the call is originating from , contact them and tell them to cease the automated calling to your number or you will report them to the proper authorities.

Well for a start they are Rochdale and that area based.
Just telephone those other useless morons at BT,and report it as a nuisance with a bit of luck they will stop it for you about Christmas.

why not bar the number from calling you bt offer a choose to refuse service free for the first month £4 therfore after it will allow you to block up to 10numbers even if they withhold there number they still cant get through call them for more info 0800 800 030 mon-sat 7.30am till 10pm!!!

The number is a Rochdale Area code - Probably someone messing around - just get it blocked

the code is from the Rochdale Area, u could always get in touch with ur telephone provider and they will give u a number (telephone prefernce i think) and wht they do is block all buisness calls from ringing u,

I expect they acquired your phone number from your mobile phone network provider. You should phone your network and ask them to block the number, and in future not to share your mobile number with third parties.

If it's a company cold calling you get your number registered with TPS. If they persist report them to the TPS police and they'll slap them with a big fat fine!
