For Cupid Stunt: no, I WOULDN'T want to live in America! Most French people like their country, at least the quality of the food we get there and the pace of life. I mean, I have nothing against America, there are cool things over there, but I definitely like my country!
Anyway. I saw it translated like that: "On est toujours mieux chez soi" (literally: one feels always better at home)
Actually, just found another one: "Foyer, doux foyer", which might be better

An exact or closer translation does not exist in other forms - these are the closer two... the meaning is different, but the drift is similar...
It is true that Home can be translated by foyer, or even chaumière, but such words don't fit in traditional sayings.
