Your body will process the dye and you will pee it out. Be sure to drink plenty of water and other fluids.

It doesn't take very long. Remember to drink plenty of water and you will just pee the radioactive dyes out real fast.

The radiology technologist who does your CT scan can tell you pretty much exactly how long your urine will be radioactive after your test. It isn't very long for a regular CT scan. If you drink water afterwards as directed your exposure is negligible. If you are still worried, call the radiology tech and ask what dye will be used and how long it is present in the body.
