Arachnids:
Job 8:14
For his confidence breaks, and [the object of] his trust is a spider's web.
There is no mention of baseball in the Bible.

spiders do like to catch flies

a baseball will squish any arachnids I ever hear of
the bolo spider uses a web it throws almost like a spanish bolo cowboy lasooo style.. yeeeh hahh!! its the closest to a spider ball I know
spiders are amazingly created and there is a section of the video Incredible Creatures The Defy Evolution (the first one) on spiders you might enjoy Mr Darwin

it depends on the size and number of the arachnids.
even the best hitter in baseball only got a hit 3 1/2 times out of every 10 at bats, but a poisionous arachnid will kill you every time.

Are they giant arachnids? If they are, arachnids by a landslide. They have eight legs and fangs. Baseball only has half as many appendages and a baseball bat or glove.

Arachnids because they are despised yet they live with Kings.
Pro 30:28 The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings' palaces.

The implication in your question is that religion and science are always adversaries -- which is one of the biggest and most common mistakes made by "champions of science."
As for the ballgame -- the spiders wouldn't stand a chance against us.

Arachnids.
Arachnea boasted that she was better at weaving than Athena. Then, when challenged to make good on her words, was cocky about her performance of the challenge.
Considering the apparent length of Athena's fuse, I'm shocked Arachnea survived at all, albeit transformed forever into the creature we now know as the spider.
Point is, Arachnea dissed the Gods twice and lived to tell the tale. She's got guts.
Only religious reference I've found to baseball:
Thou shalt not steal.
