We have 4500 acres for her now. She runs free all day. We just got her and she is only about 9 months old... How do I train her to adapt to city life? Or just train her in general?

The biggest problem you're going to have is getting her used to being on a leash and going potty on it.

Register her in obidience classes - It's the best thing for her.

it depends on if you are moving into an apartment or a house with a backyard also it depends on witch city some are louder then others. if you have an apartment i would suggest i dont know if she is potty trained or not but if not thats the first thing also if you can walk her often that will be good to training to walk on a leash might be the easist part ,a harness will make walking her easier if shes used to running if its an apartment in a loud city you might want to just work up to louder noises like just have a little bit louder noise than shes used to then keep going up alo if you can get her a bed or a little space of her own and have her go to it while your still in the country also if you can take something that she likes and has the sent of home on it and put it on her bed that will make her feel safe when you move.

First couple things to do: Expose your dog to loud noises. Many country to city dogs have never experienced constant traffic noises, loud people, etc. Also, start training your pooch to walk on a leash, and create a "bathroom" command. (ie: go potty, go poopy, go pee, etc etc). There are usually dog runs in the city, just be aware of health hazards (bordetella, giardia, etc); maybe talk to your new vet in the city. If you are moving to California, Chicago, or NYC, try http://www.urbanhound.com It will give you tips and help you adjust your dog to the city. Good luck!
