well.my hall is quite small with a big sliding window.thr are two rooms.one master bedroom and an extra room.rite now i m having two wardrobes ,a computer table,tv.and a small tea table.besides this i have 2 beds.one full and 2 small whch is now placed in my present hall like a "diwan".if u have any inexpensive ideas.help me.

Check out Architectural Digest magazine. They always have elaborate setups, but you can scale it down easily and find lower cost items without too much trouble.
Paint is inexpensive, and I'd get away from white walls as soon as possible, but never too dark as it will suck up the light. Save the dark colors for framing features, like that sliding window. Curtains are also cheap, and you can even make them for 1/2 price of buying.

at the moment i am also in teh same boat as you.. use plants lots of them.. plant soem indoor plants in old used bottles/jars. u can also use your own pictures, and give them a classy feel by printing and framing them in balck and white. diwans are a good idea... they act as good storage space as well. but if you dont need storage space, then its best to sell them, and put up nice thick cotton mattresses - which anyone can make for you to size.. and they look nice too.. as sitting solutions for the guests as well as while watching TV. and look out for old furniture sale adverts.. should work out quite cheap.. and buy things that you really really need.. hope that helps
