Hi Everyone, would anyone be able to tell me of a website that would give me accurate information about the laws and requirements of what you should have in your car while driving in Europe? I have heard something on the lines of a visibility jacket and spare bulb set...

Thank you in advance!

Mainland Europe*
By law, you must display a GB sticker/plate on the rear of your vehicle.
You must fit headlight beam converters (to avoid dazzling oncoming traffic) plus carry a spare bulb kit.
Throughout mainland Europe, it is compulsory to carry a warning triangle, a first aid kit a spare bulb kit and a high visibility jacket. If you break down, you should put the red triangle at least 50 metres (150 metres on a motorway hard shoulder) behind your car, on the same side of the road.
If you are fined on the continent the only form of payment accepted is cash - credit cards are not accepted.
If you wear spectacles you must have a spare pair when travelling through France.
Don’t be caught out – make sure you carry the necessary equipment, and check the specific requirements of the countries you intend to visit (or travel through) in advance.
* Note: some EU countries have different laws e.g. a fire extinguisher may be required.
