Jesus was born in the middle east and is a Jew. Therefore he probably has dark hair, middle eastern complexion and brown eyes.

Jesus was a Palestinian. He was born in Bethlehem and was part of an Arab Jewish family. That is in the Bible. I have heard both white and black racists say that Jesus is their color and that they can prove it, but the well documented story of the life of Christ makes nonsense out of both assertions. Throughout the whole New Testament it is quite clear that Jesus was a Jew from Palestine not a Roman or an Ethiopian. I am white, I am Christian, and I agree with you that there is no way that Jesus was white (or black) it just does not make sense. I also have never heard in any church that he was white(or black) . I have only heard such nonsense from racists out in the street. What I have heard in churches is that it does not matter because God loves everybody and the fact that he is a Palestinian Jew. So who tried to teach you that Jesus is a white man? and why are you saying that Christians believe that?

Friend, You gave the challenge, Here I am, You try to say that Jesus was not white because they had to walk a long way in the Sun so that would make them tan. & 2nd, you say Jesus was of Arab decent, First of all, Jesus, was Not of Arab decent, he was from the seed line of David, & secondly, Jesus was not a black man, The Black race came from Ham decent, & Ham decent was cursed for looking at Noah nakeness. And did you know that a black man don't get a tan, they are already black,It is true that Jesus may not had blue eyes, But I see him as a white to a tan color complexion.

He was not of Arab descent. He was of Jewish descent. Not the same thing. Pictures that portray Him with blond hair and blue eyes only demonstrate the ethnocentricity of the artist. The last I checked, both Arabs and Jews as well as other races from the region are generally considered to be white or Caucasian although not of Anglo Saxon origin.

Ah, the Jesus heredity issue has arisen! Good, it's about time I straightened this mess up. Jesus was born unto Mary via a liaison with the Holy Spirit which by extension is the hand of God whom it is undeniable that The Almighty has the predominate genes and is of course a White Anglo Saxon Male incarnation of Deity. I hope this has helped You, it confused the Be-Jesus out of the local Galilean population as well!

I watched the Dicovery Channel on that issue. They actually made a model of what Jesus probably looked like in those days. He was dark and had dark eyes. He probably look like everyone else in his time. The reason I think people portay Jesus as white is because Hollywood is white and they think everyone else was white. I guess they think Christians will relate better to a white man. However, the man they got to play in the Passion Of The Christ was so cute. He had beautiful eyes!

No, I don't believe Jesus was a white man while He was on Earth. Your description is probably accurate. The 'white man' image was painted by artists in an era when racial predjudice was a way of life. Those paintings are merely representing how the artist conceptualizes Jesus. Yes, I believe in Jesus, regardless of what race He was during His 33 years on Earth. He has reigned in Heaven with the Father eternally before His life on Earth, and will continue to reign for all eternity thereafter.

Jesus was a jew and in that time and place he was from. He would have had dark hair eyes not sure of. He would have been dark faced because of the sun, and arms would have been dark. Jews have olive color skin other than that. Do not say christians claim he is white. It was hollywood who made movies and whoever painted pictures saying Jesus looking like this. Thats why I do not have pictures in my home of someone posed as Jesus.

Very few Christians believe Jesus was white with blonde hair and blue eyes. He may have been represented that way during the Renaissance, but so what? Why should it matter what color His skin was?
Honestly, I couldn't care less if He was white, black, brown, purple, green, red, yellow, or WHATEVER. I'm not going to insist that He was ANY of those. I don't CARE. His skin color does not change who He was, or who He is.
He is the Savior of ALL people, regardless of their skin color. Let people see Him however they want. It doesn't change anything.

I have thought about this too. Ya know, even though Jesus WAS probably Arab looking and whatever, depending on the country and what race you are, he can look different. Jesus is a beacon of hope and love and he is God. we do not know what God looks like. People get these views of their ideal Jesus, and make him that color and race. I say, so be it. If they want Jesus white, let Jesus be white. If they want him black, let him be black. It doesn't matter to me and it shouldnt matter what skin color Jesus is as long as He is our Lord and Savior.
