My hair is long and I have a head full of foil highlights. I wash my hair every day, use good conditioner in the shower and a good leave in conditioner before I blow dry. I also use BioSilk products to make my hair smooth and shiny. The BioSilk stuff smells great, too!

Yes it helps. Wash every 2nd day. The first week will drive you nuts, cos your hair is now used to every day and will appear greasy the days you don't wash. Stick it out ! It really makes a difference. Your hair will get used to the every 2nd day wash, and will adjust accordingly. It also does not dry out as much. I wash AND condition every 2nd day, and I have no problems with dullness or dryness. Use a decent shampoo. The Organics range and the Panteene range are very good!

Every other day and occassionally 2 days if I'm not going out. I have fine, thin blonde hair and it does get flat on day 2 sometimes. I put it up if it is bothering me OR use a product from Bumble and Bumble (very expensive, don't know if there is a cheaper version out there) called hair powder that absorbs the oil at the roots and I can go longer.

Since I started not washing it everyday, my hair looks healthier and feels good. I don't get the "your hair is so dry" lecture in the chair at the salon anymore. It also helped cut down on my insatiable thirst for conditioner too. And more oddly enough, my skin seems less red and irritated skipping days. (I have a tendancy to breakout on my jawline and upper back.)

I wash my hair twice a week......but as you are new to this you can 1st try washing your hair thrice a week 1st for a month and get down to twice a week......it will realy really help with the dryness! Also the frequency of washing really depends on the weather and the hair type. If you feel your hair is too greasy or itchy you should hop in right away in the shower to get a shampoo with a good conditoner. PLEASE AVOID USING HOT WATER FOR HAIR WASH/RINSE it will only aggravate dry hair and dandruff. Hope it helped!

I find that washing mine every other day prevents the dryness. I also have wavy/curly hair and it cuts down on frizzies as well by skipping a day.

It depends on my activities and the weather. If I sweat, I wash it daily. If I don't, it's every other day. My hair is very thick and long, so it is a chore to wash and dry. I use VO5 products and my hair is always shiny and healthy-looking. I also like Pantene Pro-V. I know people who have switched from Garnier Fructis to Pantene Pro-V and their hair went from very dull to very shiny and healthy- looking immediately. I also know someone who switched from Suave to Garnier Fructis and her hair looks shiny and fabulous. I think it really depends on YOUR hair. You will have to experiment with what works best for you. Also, your health will play a big part in how healthy your hair looks. Good luck.

I was mine every other day. I have to use A LOT of conditioner so I can't go over two days because my hair looks nasty. In summer i wash everyday because of the sweat factor. :)

My hair's really fine and gets greasy really quickly. I wash it every other day.

I used to do it every day but it seemed to be getting greasy even faster - I'd wash it in the morning, and by the evening it was greasy! So I cut it down, and that seems to have helped a bit.
