I have already missed WAY too much school and my vice principal has threatened to call truency, but the problem is that I really am sick right now. I can't hear out of my right ear, (sinus?) my nose is stuffy, I lost my voice, and my throat is sore.
My mom can't afford to take me to the doctor today and that is the only way my absence is unexcused. She suggested I go today and have them send me home, but they won't unless I have a fever! This is ridiculous, what are some other ways my absence can be unexcused? I know some of you will say we could forge a doctor's note, but that is illegal and my school would call and check anyways.

yea i am at home sic too and what i did was when at school i didnt feel like i had a fever but i was really sick with a cough, when they put the themometer in my mouth i press down on it with my tongue so the heat will increase i was a perfect 98.6 when they did it the 1st time but then she did it again and i pressed down and i was 99.4 and she sent me home! that was last week and i am still sick... iam going to the doctors today i think

I'm sure you do NOT want an unexcused absence.
UN- excused would mean it would not be acceptable.
For an excused absence, is it possible for your mother to stop by the school in person and explain the situation?

Go to school anyway, and go see the vice principal during your break. Bring some pen and paper to write the conversation with. Make sure you "talk" long enough to spread your illness, and breathe on everything in the office.
Then you can at least have your revenge.

Go, but write out a note saying you have lost your voice & on the back, the rest. Don't try to talk. See what happens.

You could try getting your mom to call the school and explain the situation....and then on top of that get her to write you an excuse to turn in to the office when you return on why you were and on what date...make sure she signs it and puts her phone number on it....HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER!!!!!
