The Islam people did not create terrorism. You shouldn't judge a whole group of people knowing most of them are innocent. They are part of the victims dying out there in this war that Christians also wage. Both Christians and Muslims are to blame in that case. The world would be a better place if people started learning how to stop judging others by race and religion and start giving love and respect to them instead. Love spawns peace and that is what the world needs.

It would be a better place without terrorism. But there are plenty of violent people from all religions. How about Timothy McViegh? He was raised Christian and he killed thousands of people. Christians have taken over other countries and killed the people who were living there; look at the history of the USA; most of the Native Americans were killed by white Christians. What about Hitler: the most famous act of genocide was perpetrated by people of what religion? You guessed it, Christian. Religion is often used as an excuse for violence, but people seem to kill each other for money, power, land and politics as well. Communists are notoriously anti-religion, but millions of people have been slaughtered in the name of Communism. Many historians agree that Joseph Stalin and Mao Tse Tung each killed more peole than Hitler. I am not saying Islamic Extremism is not a major world problem, but you need to put things in historical perspective before making blanket statements like that.

For you to pose this question, you might as well pose questions pertaining to other religions and their relevance to terrorism.
Islam in itself does not preach terrorism as much as Christianity does. It is always the extremists that cause problems.
If Islam can be equated to terrorism, so can Christianity due to the killings in Northern Ireland.
Terrorists do not sprout from religion. In my opinion, they are political bodies with their own agenda always seeking ways to garner support for their cruel actions or create fear amongst the population so that they are able to bend the will of the people to suit their needs.
Acts of terrorism did not begin in the 20th Century, they have always been around and be traced back to even the Roman Empire.
Please take religion out of terrorism. It does not hold water.

It would be better without terrorism. But Islam has a permanent place among people. Don't judge an entire religion for the faults of a few who are not even considered true muslims. If islam were to be banned then christianity and all the others should go to.

Terrorism isn't fueled by Islam nor is a Muslim nation the biggest terrorizer of innocent civilians in the last few decades.
Terrorism is fueled by injustice, which of course the world could do without.

The world would be a better place without terrorism and the uneducated people who twist any religion's doctrine to support their hate crimes against others. This happens in all religions, not just Islam. In reality, Islam is a peaceful and loving religion.

Well, I guess you got it all wrong, Islam is not the only religion that perform, exercise, and adhere to this method of terrorism. There are also some religious sects that carter to this type of terrorism.
I believed that the world would be a better place to lived in, if all people will listen to the voice of God which was written and compiled in the book called 'THE BIBLE'. These book was written by men of God moved by the Spirit of God
In the first place, Religion, first come into its existence in the land of NOD where Cain and his wife first founded it. This religion that they founded reflects their true character, sentiments and ideology of the God whom they represents and not the true one living God. God instructed Adam as to the type of worship God likes not the religion God's like. But God allows such thing to happen because of man's arrogance and deceitful heart.
Remember, whosoever build religion, will reflects the spirit of that person who founded it. This is where the trouble begins.

Of course, those are two separate issues. I think all religion is a net negative to humanity and we'd be better off without all the myths.
Terrorism is a military tactic, typically used by the little guy against the big guy.
As to your joining of Islam and terrorism - the world would be much better if the european powers hadn't treated the middle east as their personal gas stations and geopolitical stepping stones.
If only we had not overthrown Iran's democratically elected president in 1953. If only we hadn't backed the murderous Saddam against the Iranians. If only we hadn't left the Palestinian people to be devoured by zionism's self-righteous mass murder. If only we hadn't backed the despicable and murderous House of Saud. If only we hadn't back Egypt's repression of their dissent.
In other words, dear, to a large extent we are reaping what our sick leaders have sown. You wish to blame the victims.
I was raised around the world as a US Navy dependent, so, funny thing, I came to see all people as people and all people as the inheritors of our founder's creed - that all people are created equal and have life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as inherent rights. It's not right for our country and england to crush brown people underfoot for riches. It's just not right.

Terrorism yes, Islam, probably not. Humans have a way of finding different ways to argue and fight. Religion is just one of them. We will fight over land, resources, women/men and just about anything that has value. Many say the world would be perfect without religion, because John Lennon said so. Its just not the case, without religion we would be fighting over different scientific theories.

terry g makes a good point.
look at the damn crusades, people were killing for their "God", but if you look at it, these people are just promoting their own agenda. people who use the name of religion to kill others are the worst kind of people. many people depend on religion to provide them guidance and a sense of morality. if you actually read the Koran it does not tell the terrorists to attack people. the terrorists twist passages and then say they used it. Uneducated people will then go and say, well the terrorists said they do it in the name of this, so it has to be bad. so in essence we are actually doing exactly what they want. putting the blame on a religion or people of the religion instead of the people who actually commit these crimes. an innocent arab down the street may be the target of humilation, his store may be broken into constantly and his home decorated with the blood of some animal (this happened in my community) because people said he was a terrorist. arent the people who are doing this to an innocent person committing terrorist acts? Please people, i know americas government and mr B cant make up their mind on who the enemies are (Irans next maybe), but c'mon people. there are many innocent people out there who take so much because we have no idea who are enemies are. The enemies are the ones after your life, not the innocent arab down the street who prays to Allah
