I read in an article a long time ago that there was a link between acne and apples? I have found nothing since... has anyone ever heard of it? Have I been avoiding apples for years for no reason?

I once heard that oranges can cause acne because of their high acid levels. I'm not sure if there is much truth in it.

I've never heard anything about apples causing acne though.

Nothing you eat causes acne,it is hormonal, you are at the age of puberty and this produces too much oil in your skin. You can get a mild form of antibiotic from the doctors, you take 1 a day and it clears it up,it wont interfere with your resistance to them as the dose is too low,no teenager needs to put up with spots these days,no creams or lotions will cure them, just take the tabs.

I have never heard of this. Go ahead and eat some apples, they're good for you. If anything, they should help your skin clear up because by eating them, you're not eating unhealthy foods.
