Any crack through an un-planned air can get in or out in an air conditioned or heated building or both type of building.

Fill it with chocking and repair it. Sometimes a decorative strip may be placed to hide the chocking for looks.

I leave in high desert, day time summer temp can be 105 degrees F. Night time chill factor in winter can be regularly around -ve 40 degrees, a little unwanted air under this condition can play havoc on the energy bill, but most important it make life unlivable, over work the units that are sized for the estimated conditions.

Mostly, there are three types of the cracks in the concrete which are common.
1- Hair like cracks, these are the cracks which are caused due to pouring of the concrete and some air is entrained in it. It has some other practical causes. It is not dangerous as its width is very small.
2-Active Cracks. These are the cracks which are caused due to the settlement of the foundations of the substructure. They are called as active cracks as they keep expanding and can cause failure of the structure.
3-Dormant Cracks. These are the cracks which are dangerous but they do not expand with time, there may be several causes for these cracks. Earthquake can be one of them but not of severe intensity.
If the cracks are active, firstly, make a tell tale test for the cracks to find the type of crack.
If the cracks are active then fill some epoxy material which is soluble in concrete then fill them and cure them for at least five days.
If the cracks are more severe, then use some wire gauze with the epoxy materails. I personally used epoxy with the wire guaze and found the excellent results.
I hope this will help you.
May Allah bless you.
