Dear people in Christ,
Iam a 22/female born-again believer.My parents were divorced when i was 17.I fell in love with a man, who's a pastor's son.He had recieved 2 prohecies from GOD thru his father regarding the girl he wud marry.
1)The girl he marries will be the only daughter to her parents.
2)The girl's parent's will come to his home together.
Im the only daughter at home and myself and my man were praying for my parents to re-unite so that the prophecies gets fulfilled.Last dec,he came home to visit all my people,met my parents in their places.One day during that week, we both slept togther n hence have sinned against GOD.
Now since my parents havent re-united yet, he is reluctant to marry me cos in so doing he shall walk against the prophesy God gave him.
I cant even think of marrying anyother guy and cheating him in name of marraige.What must i do? must i talk to his parents? Iam soo rejected and decieved.Please helppp this sinner...plssss

That's pretty messed up huh? I guess you're going through a tough time now. Prophecy isn't always accurate, it depends sometimes on the person telling them that's one. About your sin, just ask Jesus' forgiveness and He'll forgive you no matter how big a sin it is. God will find a way to fix up your parents' relationship, just keep praying and bugging Him for that answer!:) But if ever that guy isn't the one for you, you gotta be prepared for the worst of it. but always remember that Jesus is with you all the way. He knows what's best so leave it all to Him. :)

Dear girl, I cannot understand how you can accept that God's will for YOUR life would come through some "supposed" prophecy to this person. I have known many many Christian people in my life and the true ones never claim to have direct revelation from God in the form of prophecy. God reveals himself in many ways, and answers prayer, but I do not believe he gives this type of "criteria" in the form of prophecy to modern man. Otherwise there would be no need for faith. It sure sounds convenient to me that these are prophecies that you cannot fulfill, which says basically this pastor/son are ruling you out for their own reasons. Seems a little amazing that he will sin against God by sleeping with you, but wont go against this prophecy. WAKE UP ! He just doesnt want to marry you!! You are correct in saying that you are decieved! I've never heard such a ridiculous thing coming from a "Christian". If we were talking about another religion maybe, but God simply does not work that way. You need to pray for wisdom, because I'm sure God will lead you away from this man and his false faith. Just pray, THAT is how you will get an answer, God doesnt give us "lists", cuz it sure would make life a lot easier if he did. Have faith.

Sounds like your pastor's son is more of a son of the devil. Yes, talk to his parents and confess what has been done. You may learn that his father never heard the 2 prophesies from God. You may learn that you could have married a lying non-Christian. If his father is a true Christian, he will be able to help you both. Either way, you ask God to forgive you and He will. Don't sin against God again if you can. God will deal with your boyfriend. If this boy doesn't change and ask for your forgiveness, then ask God to bring the right person into your life and you will abstain from sex until God does. Our God is full of grace and when we are His, He promises to forgive us. Jesus took our sins and nailed them to that Cross so we could have eternal life with Him.
Keep your eyes on Jesus and not on man.

Was all this of God or a vision of someones own heart? Did he try the spirit that sent him the prophecy? Are you sure that you are not just lusting after the man? I would cut my loses and start praying and reading the Bible. God is a just God. He knows what you would do and can forgive you. After being born again, there is a process you must follow. there is a big word, IF, that is present in the Bible. You must remain in the word. Get back to the word of God, the Bible, and go on with your life. If it is God for you to be with the man, God will bring him to you. If not, get back to God!

Absolutely!!! It was something more formal, yet I used to talk to Him whatever the reason and because I kept forward to my own ambition and desires, when He gave me avertisements I saved none and did my way going into more and more trubles! Into an end, within a deep depresion, He saved my life (!!!) the very second I left away of all my deep desires... There, empty heart, I was filled with God's Light and Peace and Love - a complete New LIFE, a new body, a New Vision over the past and the future :) :) :) Yes, He is my Saviour!!!

this is not the right place to bring this problem. You need to seek out a pastor other than his father. I don't know that it is right for a man to prophesy about a wife. You find what you seek. Just because you sinned, does not negate the love you have for one another. Besides, the bible has precident over his fathers word. Paul said if you cannot control your passions, get married, for it is better to marry than to burn.

pls no this, that everything worketh out for good for those that love God and in his time he maketh them beautiful. Again, the word of God is true cos God cannot lie.If d guy is ur missing rib(husband) then things will surely fall in place wit time. If he ends up marrying someone else, then be sure u guys were not meant to be. The ways of God are not the ways of men and God sure works in mysterious ways. KEEP THE FAITH SISTER

Respectfully, you're blowing this all out of proportion. Your Father-in-law's prohecies didn't say they had to be married and / or living together. It said they "will come to his home together." Send them both separate invitations OR calll them and invite them. As for sleeping together, ask the Lord for forgiveness and BELIEVE that he will do it. I wish all problems in life were this COMPLICATED! Smile and have a good one!

I am a Christian. First have you asked for forgiveness for your sins. As for as sleeping with him you know it was a mistake. If you have asked for forgiveness. Jesus has forgave you. Now you have to forgive yourself. Pray and ask for guidance. This prophecy that his Dad gave. He may believe that it was from God. But If it was in your prayers God will let you know. You can not help that your parents are divorced. Also ask your boyfriend to pray and ask for Gods answer.
