Don't freak out until after the dog goes to the vet.
It could be diabetic seizures, a bad ear infection, or another problem that is throwing him off balance and it could be something that is easily controlled by meds.

AAHH Shame, my 7 year old Ridgeback has the occasional fit where she loses her balance and does not seem to know where she is or where she is going. Sometimes [once she is herself again] she leaks and i was told by the vet that some animals are prone to fits . I have noticed it happens when it is Guy Fawkes or New year etc specially with fireworks around. So now i give her little white tables just before fireworks and it calms her right down. She has not had a fit since. We hug and talk to her gently when it happens. The vet told us their is nothing they can do, maybe your vet will give you more info. Hope your boxer improves and wish you and her/him well. Take care.:))))

I hope everything goes well, at the vets, but you have done the best thing you can do, and that is taking him to the vets. I know exactly how you feel. Just know in yourself that you are doing the right thing and if your not happy with your vets decision go to see another one just to make sure in your own mind that no matter what has to be done, it is the right thing to do. You might find that some tablets might be all he needs or even just a jab of something.
Good luck at the vets XxX

What type of fit. Dizzy and disoriented? Your vet will be able to help you. Your boy is at an age he could have developed diabeties (common for his age) but not threating.
It is hard but you did the right thing and got him to the vet. Find out from the vet what is going on, you can't do anything right now but be concerned.

Good luck with him at the vets.Try not to worry as it could be anything from an ear infection to epilepsy, but whatever it is I'm sure that your vet will sort it out.At the end of the day he's the one likely to know what's going on.Good luck to both of you.xx

My old Collie, Ric, went through similar spells. He had kidney problems and steroids only prolonged the inevitable I'm afraid. His liver and kidneys were not detoxing his blood and he had to be put to sleep. Broke my heart.
