I totally agree with you. Why attack the religious beliefs of others? It is very unchristian in the first place. If a Christian denomination for instance wants to prove their denomination is better why can't they just explain why without attacking other people's religious beliefs?

I do hate it. I am happy that you have found a belief system and you take it to heart. Nothing makes me happier to see someone happy in their beliefs. But who is anyone to say which is the better reilgion. Wouldn't some mess in their pants if say Wicca was the actual true religion, or the Native Americans were the real chosen ones.

As a Buddhist, I'm constantly bombarded with messages that I'm "inferior" (Gee, Thanks!) and that I'm going to hell because I don't believe in Christ as the One "True Savior." I live in a town dominated by three HUGE mega-churches and once it slips out (I don't wear my religon on my sleeve, but I do wear a small mala and when someone asks me about it, I answer honestly with "these are Buddhist prayer beads.") that I'm Buddhist, I'm pretty much condemed. I've had some people stop speaking to me, especially after they learned that I was at one time a Christian, I've had people pray over me, attempt to convert me, invite me to their churches, etc. I hate this air of superiority that many Christians seem to have. Many of them think their religion is the only way and that everyone else is going to go to hell because they don't believe as they do. It's annoying, it's insulting, and frankly, I don't understand it. They claim to understand the Bible, but obviously they aren't really reading the bigger message in it: love one another as I have loved you.
