i actually think it did. For some reason the US media had a different reaction than I thought they would. Instead of seeing the hatred that muslims have for america, they embrace their teachings. odd

Not spread Islam however it did bring Islam more into the spot light.
Most Americans have never heard of Islam or thought that the Nation of Islam (Black American Muslims) was what Islam was all about.
Once 9/11 happened people started investigating, not necessarily embracing Islam. People by nature are curious and wanted to find out what's behind all the terrorism.
In essence they found out that it's only a small percentage who are Muslim that are doing damage to both Muslims and non-Muslims.

I think 9/11 set Islam back 1000 years. Is this even possible, yes. Islam has lost any lustre it may have had. A jinn has been released from it's bottle and it is haunting Islam, who shall put it back in? And will Islam survive? Thats a better question.

Yes, but at the same time spread propaganda and hatred about Islam. More like a double-edged sword.
There's nothing odd didi, actually in truth Islam is a religion of peace, seriously! Same as Christianity, Hindu, Buddhism, it's a religion, it's peaceful. It's just some people who claims to be muslim kills in the name of religion who are giving the bad names, same goes to the fanatical Christians and other religious fanatics.
When people think Islam is a religion of terrorism, they want to study it. Is it true what the TV says? Then when they find out Islam is the opposite of what the media shows them, they embrace.
Simple as that.

no offense, 911 helps many people (mainly to american people) spreading our hatred of Islamic people as they're doing things that they're not supposed to do during their spare time

I believe it did, because many of them read the Quran to find out which passage was it that tell those terrorist to act the way they did(with Bush and his cronies' help). Instead they could not find any but only to discover the true religion.
