truth outweights everything. lies catch up with a person and ruins their reputation so begin today by telling the truth. Go to the ones you lied to and tell them the truth and apologize. You will regain inner peace and people will forgive you when they see you are sincere and consistant.
REMEMBER TRUTH ALWAYS PREVAILS

You good dees are actions as well as your bad ones, like a balance sheet. If you have been a terrible liar, it's simple. Stop lying. To further negate your "bad deeds" apologize and make it right for as many of the lies as you can. If you are a "terrible liar", my assumption is that many are petty lies, born of insecurity, and trying to look like you are something that you really aren't. You know what.....the person that you really are is a good person. You don't need to lie to create a persona. Most people probably see through your lies anyway, and once recieving the apology, will have more respect for you than they did previously, saying that you are a strong person, and growing inside. Don't back it up with any Biblical stuff. Just be a better person. It takes a bit of will power, but it's not impossible. Seek advice from clergy if you feel you need to, or that it will comfort you.

The price of the lies awaits you not in Heaven or Hell, but in this existence, in not having daily peace. Now, about the balance sheet. No, I would say not (the answer to your question). If the lies are not mortal sins, they will not condemn you to Hell. Turn your life around. That's what you need to do. Now that you see the err of your ways, the lies will take on a new level of seriousness. You have taken the first step.

Here's the thing about the balance sheet (finally). A good deed will not really be a good deed if it is not done with an altruistic heart. If the only reason that you do a good deed is to level off the bad deeds on the balance sheet, they don't count, not for you at least. They still help the other person, true, but not yourself. It's called motivation, or glorifying yourself in the eyes of others,....Like this....Hey everybody! Look what I did! Isn't it great? You see, I'm not really a bad person!

I hope that you see what I am trying to tell you. Now, I must tell you that I am not a Christian. I am a Buddhist. I am not well versed in Christian theology. What I have explained to you is the law of "Karma", which means, cause and effect. My advice to you after thinking about what you have read here is to consult the clergy in whatever church you attend. If you don't attend....go. It sounds to me as if you need counseling. If this question was merely posed as a question, but does not apply to you personally, I hope that you have enjoyed the answer that I have given.
Peace. Rob

Truth ALWAYS rises to the surface. It is easier to tell the truth because the truth is easier to remember.
